Thankful in All Things
The month of November is one where we tend to turn our focus towards what we are thankful for and that is no different here at TPO.
At the end of October, I celebrated my 5th year in business and it made me even more grateful for all the things my business has provided me. The clients, the opportunities, the challenges, the growth, the freedom – all of it.
The gratitude I felt was immense. I am grateful every day, but when I shared our celebration with our clients and followers, it made me realize how much I truly appreciated every single bit of this business.
Gratitude as a practice is something that can help us as entrepreneurs.
It can help us be more intentional in our interactions. When we focus on what we’re grateful for, we magnify those moments and experiences, rather than the stressful situations. And as entrepreneurs, there can be a lot of stress!
But focusing on the moments we are grateful for – having referrals, getting new opportunities, being spotlighted by local media – we expand the things we are thankful for. When we express our gratitude to our staff, they thrive and flourish. Knowing they are appreciated not only makes employees put forth their best efforts, it also keeps employees. It’s amazing how something that can take just mere seconds can have such a long-term effect on those who help run your business.
Our clients and customers appreciate our gratitude, too.
Sure, we say thank you when they give us a sale or we provide a service to them, but it is always good to reach out and let them know we appreciate them at the holidays. Gratitude helps create more things to be grateful for, and by letting your customers know they are valued, it helps forge a bond and connection with them.
There are so many ways we can express our gratitude to our clients.
We can share it on our social media channels with graphics.
We can do an email blast or a newsletter.
We can send a special gift certificate in the newsletter, too, as a token of appreciation (a percentage off their next service or a free gift).
We can send a handwritten note with a physical item that was purchased.
It doesn’t matter how we say “Thank You,” it only matters that we do, and do it often.
As always, reach out to TPO should you need help with any of these tasks. We are grateful for you!
